Message from Congress Organising Committee

The Western Australian Toxicology Service, on behalf of the Toxicology and Poisons Network Australasia, has great pleasure in inviting you to attend the 14th APAMT International Scientific Conference in Perth, Western Australia.

APAMT 2015 will bring together Clinical Toxicologists and Specialists in Poisons Information from the Asia-Pacific region and around the world to present and discuss their scientific research, exchange information and build collaborative links. The theme for this conference is

Remote, Resource and Retrieval Challenges in Toxicology”.

Western Australia offers a fresh perspective as the first Australasian site to host the APAMT conference. Situated on the banks of the Swan River the capital, Perth, is one of the nation’s fastest growing urban centres, offering cultural diversity and sophistication combined with a relaxed lifestyle and friendly atmosphere. Perth has a dry, Mediterranean-style climate, dominated by clear blue skies and populated by people who love the outdoors. One of the sunniest Australian capital cities, Perth has some of the best beaches in the world on its doorstep, with fine white sand, brilliant clear turquoise water, and plenty of open space for delegates to think, breathe and connect.

The conference will be held at The University Club of Western Australia. Situated just eight minutes’ drive from the Perth CBD on the banks of the Swan River, the University Club is located on campus at The University of Western Australia. The University Club was established in 2005 to provide members, corporate clients and the university community with a first class conference and event facility complemented by all the style, comfort and attention to detail you would expect to find in an exclusive Club Register Hereenvironment.

It is easily accessible by foot and bus transportation.

If applicable, participation in the APAMT 2015 conference will contribute towards delegates ACEM CPD requirements.  Group Learning activities can enhance practice in Emergency Medicine.  ACEM fellows can add this activity to their CPD Online Record, use the Quick Find field within Activity Editor to search for APAMT.  It can also be located under Group Learning>Meetings, conferences – APAMT.

We look forward to welcoming you to Perth in December 2015.
